At Red John you can drink almost everything your heart desires. Start your day off with a nice cup of coffee from our local supplier cafefaro Biel or just enjoy some refreshing fruit juices or soft drinks before you go over to have an sparkling aperitif on our sun-flooded patio next to the Aare river. Yes, of course we do also serve some selected wines and prosecco but our true strength lies within our broad range of beer and whiskey. To warm you up during the cold days we offer you also some hot drinks laced or not and as the night falls we have a fully equipped bar that leaves nothing to be desired in terms of long drinks, cocktails and shots.

On the nose, The Murray 12 Year Old Single Malt the Marquess Collection offers aromas of lemon cake, meringue, vanilla ice cream and toasted coconut. On the palate, it offers malt, pastry and caramel, with a finish of oak and lemon.

Unfiltered and authentic, it brings out the subtle nuances that make every beer a taste experience. With its light cloudiness, soft malty notes and characteristically refreshing finish, Super Bock Unfiltered is perfect for real beer lovers.

The serious bROTige. The (B)Red Ale is brewed with at least 12% stale bread. This is complemented by fruity notes from Cascade aroma hops grown on our own farm.

Past Beers of the Moment

Burgdorfer Wilhelm Sommer Ale

The bright golden ale smells of lychee, peach and pineapple. The light first sip is followed by a surprisingly full-bodied taste, whose subtle malty sweetness perfectly complements the citrus-fruity flavour of the hops used. The bittersweet, refreshing aftertaste whets the appetite for the next sip.

Papieri IPA

An IPA hopped and “dry-hopped” with exotic hop varieties: Citra, Simcoe, Amarone, Lemondrops, and Kohatu. These provide a real “kick” of aroma and a decent boost of flavor.

Felsenau Bärner Amber

Nobly luminous, seductively appealing like amber. Brewed with caramelised malt and bitter, delicate hops, Amber impresses with its unique aroma.
